Uvarovite has a Mohs hardness of approximately 6.5–7.5, but its natural crystal formations can still be susceptible to chipping or damage from accidental impacts. Handle carefully and avoid dropping or knocking the pendant against hard surfaces.

Store separately from other jewellery in a soft, dry pouch or lined compartment to protect the crystalline surface and silver fitting.

Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning. Remove the pendant before swimming, showering, exercising or undertaking activities where accidental impact may occur.
