This exceptional Wavellite cabinet specimen is a true showpiece, sourced from what has been fondly nicknamed the “Sparkling Pocket”—a limited and highly sought-after find from Arkansas, USA in early 2024. The specimen features numerous vibrant lime-green spheres of Wavellite, with the largest reaching up to 1.5 cm across, each exhibiting exceptional luster, clarity, and sparkle. Most of the botryoidal clusters are complete and pristine, showcasing the superb quality Arkansas Wavellite is famed for.

Unlike many flat plate specimens, this piece boasts an elegant sculptural form with impressive depth and three-dimensionality, enhancing both its aesthetic and mineralogical appeal. The top section displays the brilliant lime-green Wavellite in full shimmer, while the base shows spheres partially coated or replaced by contrasting grey and black minerals—creating a striking visual duality. In several places, the Wavellite crystals peek through the dark coating, revealing the mineral’s vibrant life beneath the surface.

This is more than just a mineral specimen—it's a collector-grade masterpiece. With its vivid colour, dramatic structure, and provenance from one of the finest Wavellite-producing regions in the world, this is the best large specimen from the Sparkling Pocket discovery, making it a prized addition to any advanced collection.
