This beautifully crystallised Ankerite Mineral Specimen comes from the renowned Smallclough Mine in Nenthead, Cumbria—one of the classic mineral localities in the North Pennines Orefield of the United Kingdom. With its creamy beige to honey-toned crystal clusters often found on matrix, this rare carbonate mineral is a must-have for collectors of British and European classics.

Ankerite is a calcium-iron-magnesium carbonate closely related to dolomite but rarer in well-formed specimens. Its grounding and stable energy aligns with the Root Chakra, supporting emotional strength, presence, and energetic anchoring. Highly regarded by mineral enthusiasts in Japan and the United States, UK-sourced Ankerite is increasingly difficult to obtain, especially from historical mines such as Smallclough.

This piece is ideal for crystal collectors, museum-grade curation, or energy workers seeking a lesser-known yet powerful grounding mineral with heritage and locality significance.
