This Lepidolite 6 Sided Pendulum is crafted from natural Lepidolite-bearing material and polished into a classic six-sided faceted point.

Each pendulum is suspended from a silver plated chain and finished with a round Clear Quartz holding bead, providing a comfortable point from which to hold the pendulum.

Lepidolite is a lithium-rich member of the mica group, recognised for its attractive lilac, lavender, pink-purple and occasionally greyish colouring. Its mica structure can also create distinctive silvery or pearlescent reflections across polished surfaces.

Lepidolite commonly occurs within lithium-rich granitic pegmatites, where it may be found alongside minerals such as Quartz, Feldspar and Tourmaline. This geological association means polished material can display variations in colour, texture, inclusions and mineral composition.

Each pendulum is naturally individual and suitable for mineral and crystal collections, traditional dowsing practices, decorative collections or as a distinctive gift.

Lepidolite belongs to the mica group of sheet silicate minerals and is particularly notable for its lithium-rich composition.

Its chemistry can be complex and variable, with elements including lithium, potassium, aluminium, silicon, oxygen, fluorine and hydroxyl occurring within its structure. Rubidium and caesium may also occur as minor constituents.

Lepidolite typically develops during the later stages of crystallisation within granitic pegmatites. These mineral-rich geological environments are also known for producing Quartz, Feldspar, Tourmaline and other lithium-bearing minerals.

Is Lepidolite a Lithium Mineral?

Yes.

Lepidolite is naturally lithium-bearing and has historically been associated with lithium-rich mineral deposits.

However, the presence of lithium within Lepidolite's mineral structure should not be confused with pharmaceutical lithium.

A polished Lepidolite pendulum is a mineral and collectable object. Its lithium content does not mean that handling or wearing Lepidolite provides the medical or therapeutic effects associated with lithium medicines.

Is Lepidolite the Same as Purple Mica?

Lepidolite is commonly described as purple or lilac mica, which is useful as a general description but does not fully identify the mineral.

Mica refers to a broader group of sheet silicate minerals that share characteristic structural properties. Lepidolite is one lithium-rich member of that wider mineral group.

Its characteristic colour and pearly appearance make it one of the most recognisable mica-group minerals used for polished ornamental material.

Please Note

Lepidolite-bearing natural material can vary considerably in colour, pattern, mica content, inclusions and associated minerals.

As Lepidolite commonly occurs alongside Quartz, Feldspar and other pegmatite minerals, individual polished pendulums may contain or display associated natural mineral material rather than consisting visually of uniform purple Lepidolite throughout.

Its mica-rich structure can also produce natural textural variations and reflective areas across the polished surface. These characteristics are not necessarily imperfections.

We will randomly choose a pendulum from our collection for you.
