About Choffaticeras

Choffaticeras is an extinct genus of ammonite belonging to the family Acanthoceratidae. These marine cephalopods lived in warm tropical seas during the Upper Cretaceous and used their chambered shells to regulate buoyancy while swimming.

Their beautifully ornamented shells, distinctive ribbing and complex suture patterns make them one of Morocco's most recognisable Cretaceous ammonites. Today they are highly prized by collectors for both their scientific significance and decorative appeal.
