Ammonite - Harpoceras & Hildoceras slice - 170 million years old - Jurassic period - 25-60mm

A polished half ammonite, (hildoceras and harpoceras), dating back to the Jurassic period, (170 million years ago). Thickness and diameter will vary, but they will be approximately 1.5 to 2 inches across. Ammonites were similar to the present-day squid although they were protected by a beautiful shell forming the handsome fossil that can be seen here.
