Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate hydroxide [Ca₂Al(AlSi₃O₁₀)(OH)₂] with a vitreous to pearly lustre. It often forms in botryoidal clusters or granular masses, with colours ranging from pale yellow-green to soft apple green. Its Mohs hardness is 6–6.5, making it both durable and suited for jewellery.
