This Gold Tiger’s Eye 6 Sided Pendulum is crafted from natural Tiger’s Eye and polished into a classic six-sided faceted point.
Each pendulum is suspended from a silver plated chain and finished with a round Clear Quartz holding bead, providing a comfortable point from which to hold the pendulum.
Gold Tiger’s Eye, also commonly known as Golden Tiger’s Eye, is recognised for its striking golden-yellow, honey, brown and darker bands. When polished, these parallel fibrous structures produce the characteristic moving band of reflected light known as chatoyancy, or the cat’s-eye effect.
As the pendulum moves under directional light, the reflective band appears to travel across the surface, revealing different layers of golden and brown colour.
Tiger’s Eye has a particularly interesting geological history involving the replacement of an original fibrous mineral by Quartz while retaining its parallel structure. Changes involving iron contribute to the familiar golden-brown colouration.
Natural variations in banding, colour and chatoyancy ensure that every pendulum is individually distinctive.
Suitable for mineral and crystal collectors, traditional dowsing practices, decorative collections or as a distinctive gift.

Gold Tiger’s Eye is a chatoyant ornamental material closely associated with Quartz.
Its distinctive appearance develops through a complex geological replacement process involving an original fibrous mineral. Quartz progressively replaces the fibrous material while preserving its parallel structure.
Iron-bearing components and their alteration contribute to the characteristic golden-yellow and brown colouring.
When the material is correctly oriented and polished, light reflects from the preserved parallel structures to create the distinctive cat’s-eye band known as chatoyancy.
What Is Chatoyancy in Tiger’s Eye?
Chatoyancy is the moving band of reflected light visible across polished Tiger’s Eye.
The word comes from terminology associated with a cat’s eye, describing the narrow reflective band that appears to move as the stone, light source or viewing angle changes.
Tiger’s Eye is one of the best-known natural materials for displaying this optical phenomenon.
The strength, width and position of the chatoyant band will vary naturally between individual pendulums.
Is Gold Tiger’s Eye the Same as Golden Tiger’s Eye?
Yes.
Gold Tiger’s Eye and Golden Tiger’s Eye are commonly used commercial names for the familiar golden-yellow to brown variety of Tiger’s Eye.
The shorter name Tiger’s Eye is also frequently used for the same material.
We use Gold Tiger’s Eye as the primary product name while including Golden Tiger’s Eye as an alternative search and identification term.
What Is the Difference Between Gold and Blue Tiger’s Eye?
Gold Tiger’s Eye and Blue Tiger’s Eye are closely related materials but display different colouration.
Blue Tiger’s Eye, also known as Hawk’s Eye, retains predominantly blue, blue-grey or blue-green tones.
Gold Tiger’s Eye displays the characteristic golden-yellow, honey and brown colouration associated with further geological alteration of the iron-bearing components within the material.
Both can display pronounced chatoyancy.

Please Note
Gold Tiger’s Eye is a natural geological material, so colour, banding, inclusions and the strength and position of its chatoyancy will vary between individual pendulums.
Chatoyancy is dependent on lighting and viewing angle. The reflective band may appear particularly strong from one direction and less visible from another. This is a natural optical characteristic rather than a defect.
Natural inclusions, internal features and small surface variations can occur within polished Tiger’s Eye and are not necessarily imperfections.
We will randomly choose a pendulum from our collection for you.
