Discovered in Kenya in 2016, the Sericho Pallasite Meteorite is a remarkable stony-iron meteorite classified within the Pallasite group, composed of olivine crystals suspended in an iron-nickel matrix. Though officially recorded in 2016, the meteorite had been known to local herders near Habaswein, Kenya, for decades prior. Weighing over 2.8 tonnes collectively, Sericho specimens are prized by collectors for their dramatic contrast between gem-quality peridot and metallic structure.
Pallasites represent less than 1% of all known meteorites, believed to have formed at the core-mantle boundary of differentiated asteroids. The Sericho fall is particularly notable for its fresh olivine content, high polish potential, and structural stability when properly curated. Each specimen in this collection has been carefully selected for its authenticity, preparation quality, and visual appeal.
