The Campo del Cielo Meteorite is one of the most historically significant and widely studied iron meteorites on Earth. This impressive meteorite impact occurred approximately 4,000–5,000 years ago in the Gran Chaco region of northern Argentina, spanning the provinces of Chaco and Santiago del Estero. The name “Campo del Cielo,” meaning “Field of the Sky,” refers to the massive strewn field where over 100 fragments have been recovered.

Composed primarily of iron and nickel, Campo del Cielo meteorites are part of the IAB group of iron meteorites. Some fragments weigh several tonnes, including the famous "El Chaco" mass at over 37 tonnes—the second-largest single meteorite ever found. The impact created multiple craters across a 60 km² area, marking it as one of the largest known meteorite impact sites.

Our Campo del Cielo Meteorite Collection includes authentic fragments, shrapnel, and etched slices, each sourced from reputable suppliers and ideal for both new enthusiasts and experienced collectors. These specimens offer a direct connection to Earth’s cosmic history and are prized for their dense metallic structure and rugged aesthetic.
